A. Flounder are being caught with a live minnow or shiner and a strip of squid on the same hook.

Q. When is the best time to go fishing?
A. In the Bay, 2 hours before & after high tide.

Q. Do I need a fishing license?
A. Not here; only on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, and when fishing fresh water.

Q. What is the legal size of (fish species)?
A. Call for current laws.

Q. How big do flounder have to be to keep?
A. 16 inches, 3 per fisherman per day pending

A. Yes

A. No, you need a bucket.

Q. How many minnows are in a cup?
A. 3-4 dozen

A. At the right time of the year - many; limits are controlled by the federal government

Q. How is the crabbing?
A. Starting in May, very good.

Q. What do I need to catch crabs?
A. Chicken necks and trap or string, weight and net

Q. Do you rent crab nets?
A. No, we sell them.

Q. Do you have crab bait?
A. Yes, chicken necks.


General Information

Q. Are there hotels near your marina?
A. Yes. We recommend the Ocean Mecca Motel 23rd Street and Boardwalk.

Q. Is there any place to get breakfast in the morning?
A. Yes, English Diner, next to the marina or on 16th St.

Q. Can you tow my boat?
A. No, we are not licensed.

Q. How late is your boat ramp open?
A. During regular business hours and 24 hours a day in season.

Q. Do you have trailer storage?
A. No, unfortunately we have no dry storage for boats and trailers.

Q. Can you give me a jump, my battery is dead?
A. Yes, we have a full-service Mercury mechanic on duty 6 days a week.

Q. Do you have any fuses?
A. Yes

Q. Do you have any boat slips available?
A. We have transient slips for 14' to 48' boats when available.

Q. Where can I go clamming?
A. Right in back of the marina.

Q. What time does your bar open?
A. 11:00 a.m. Monday - Saturday; 12:30 p.m. Sunday

Q. What is better now, deep sea or bay fishing?

Q. Who's catching more, the "Judith M" or the "Tortuga"?

Q. How far does the "Judith M" go?
A. 8 to 10 miles into the ocean.

Q. Do you rent speed boats?
A. No, but waverunners are available from Bay Sports Unlimited located on the north end of our marina.

Q. Do you rent wave runners?
A. Yes, next door at Bay Sports Unlimited.

Q. How many people do your rental boats hold?
A. 16 ft. boats hold 4 people
18 ft. boats hold 6 people
24 ft. pontoon boats hold 14 people

Q. Do you take reservations for rental boats?
A. No, first come - first served.

Q. Where's the best place to fish from land?
A. The inlet, Route 50 bridge, 3rd St. or 9th St.

Q. Where is the Thoroughfare?
A. Straight across the Bay from us on the west side.

Q. Is it easy to navigate the Bay?
